Newsletters and Blogs: How Valuable Are They?

Are you sending out monthly newsletters and blog posts to help keep you in front of your clients? Marketing stats support using a monthly Blog and Newsletter to reach different markets. Each can have similar content and go out the exact same day and time because you are going to hit different audiences. Even if there is a duplication, it can be in your favor! The rule of thumb is you need to be seen several times before you secure a place in their memory.

Your website should have a link to your blog, where your email will not. Anyone that wants to go back and look at your blog can do so through your website. Versus a newsletter that is in an email. You will want to post a link to your blog on your Facebook and Twitter pages, so that people can read it via their social media. They will capture two different audiences and if people like what your write, if you hit a point of interest with them, then you will be on their radar to watch and read your blogs. This is where consistency comes in. In social media, consistency is important.

You can use a platform like Constant Contact, Active Campaign, Mail Chimp or one of the many others that are available. Some of these platforms are free, depending on the size of your email list.

Most website hosts offer a Blog platform but if yours does not, there are Blogging platforms that offer you many bells and whistles like templates and real time stat reports. My advice is to keep it simple. Make a point, offer up something interesting to your audience and don’t get to wordy.
